Aimee Woods
Instruments: Master Voice Teacher & Director
Aimee Woods, Director-Songwoods Studio (Previously Magnolia Music Studio NoCo), brings a wealth of teaching and performing experience, more than 15 years of teaching, performing and directing. She is Vice President of National Association of Teachers of Singing and is a certifed CoreSingingTM Teacher, trained by founder Meribeth Dayme. Aimee presents at educational clinics and masterclasses across the front range.
Aimee earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Colorado State University where she performed leading roles with CSU Opera (Countess/Marriage of Figaro, Susannah/Susannah) and received her BM in Vocal Performance from University of Northern Colorado.
In addition to teaching at Magnolia Music Studio, Aimee is Music Director for Fort Collins Children’s Theater. Aimee teaches all ages and styles including classical and contemporary vocal styles. She is sought out as a rock/pop vocal coach, working with several local band singers and singer/songwriters and rock operas. Aimee and her husband Jeremy live in Loveland, CO with their daughter.
Tessa Espinosa
Instruments: Voice , Piano
Tessa Espinosa, soprano, earned her Masters in Voice Performance in 2015 from the University of Northern Colorado, her Bachelors in Vocal Music Education in 2013 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and returns to UNC Greeley in the Fall to begin her Doctor of the Arts in Voice Performance with a secondary emphasis in music theory.
Kristen Smith
Instruments: Voice, Piano+Voice
Kristen Smith, soprano, earned her Masters of Music in Voice Performance from Colorado State University, where she received the Charles and Reta Ralph Opera Scholarship. She has performed with regional companies throughout Northern Colorado, including Opera Colorado, Denver Art Song Project, and many others. Currently, she is studying Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Northern Colorado and brings aspects of voice therapy into her teaching.
Colin Williamson
Instruments: Voice, Guitar, Ukulele, Piano
My name is Colin and I am a Fort Collins native. I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors in Classical Voice. I moved to New York City and received my Masters Degree in Classical Voice from the Manhattan School of Music. Currently, I teach and perform in operas throughout northern Colorado. I love opera and will talk to you about it for hours on end! I also love musical theatre, jazz, and rock - specifically punk rock. I play guitar, ukulele, piano, trumpet, and of course, sing! I'm excited to meet you and share my passion for music with you!
